Mobile communications technologies have had a huge social impact in recent years and almost everyone owns a cell phone. Lifeseeker takes advantage of this and turns these widely used devices into emergency beacons capable of guiding rescue teams to an exact location.

Lifeseeker is an aeronautical mission system for Search and Rescue, capable of accurately locating missing persons through their mobile phones – even in areas without coverage and with unfavorable weather conditions. It can be used both in manned vehicles (fixed wings and helicopters) and in unmanned vehicles (UAVs / drones).

This device turns mobile phones into emergency beacons that allow search and rescue teams to quickly guide them to the exact location of the missing person.

Lifeseeker optimizes those missions in which every second counts to efficiently locate the affected person, making a difference in each mission.

Simple and intuitive interface

The Lifeseeker interface is intuitive and easy to use. This web-based interface can be easily operated from a tablet or laptop by any member of the Search and Rescue (SAR) team, without requiring technical knowledge of mobile networks.

In addition, SAR teams can be trained using Lifeseeker Center, a cloud-based tool that allows them to improve their operations, providing a powerful simulator for both training and for generating the mission report. Lifeseeker Center also stores the history of the missions carried out.

Tested in collaboration with Rega

Lifeseeker has been developed according to the requirements of recognized SAR organizations such as Rega. Being one of the early adopters of the product, they have been able to test the system in their operational environment and have participated in the design and improvement processes. This is how we have been able to meet the needs of the most demanding missions.

Awards:

Before Lifeseeker, we relied primarily on optical sensors in the search. By covering large areas, the probability of finding a missing person decreases over time. Lifeseeker has helped us to speed up the process and quickly zero in on a specific location.

An Optical search was not possible due to dense vegetation. Geolocation with Lifeseeker was after geolocation, we approached the rescue area, the target person moved out of position and could also be identified visually. Without Lifeseeker, this mission would not have been successful!
