Dependence on users’ manual configuration of network parameters (APN) on smartphones generates an impact on costs and very high occupancy in the Call Center, as well as a drop in the operator’s NPS (Net Promoter Score).
Mobile operators, mainly virtual operators, need to facilitate this process of configuring the device to their customers with the correct parameters when a new customer arrives at the operator with a terminal of another company, when a new line is registered or simply when the user changes terminals or restores the factory parameters of the same.
CENTUM has developed the hybrid OPP platform that facilitates this process, providing the operator with different mechanisms for requesting configurations (Triggers) and a web interface for monitoring the process with all the data necessary to make strategic or commercial decisions.
Among the OPP triggers are:
- Responsive Websites with Look & Feel adapted for users to request the configuration of their terminals from the corresponding section of the operator’s website
- API to facilitate integration with operator systems and automatically launch configuration with the first CDR (Call Data Record)
- SMS and APP as mechanisms for initiating the configuration process
