CENTUM has recently been selected by DIGI, the telecommunications operator belonging to the multinational DIGI Communications, as the provider of its automatic APN (Access Point Network) configuration platform, the access point to the operator’s network through which the cell phone is directed through a virtual path which enables Internet connection.
This process takes place through CENTUM’s OPP platform (Open Provisioning Platform – https://www.opp-ota.com/). It provides the operator with different configuration request mechanisms (triggers) as well as a web interface to monitor the process with all the necessary data for its customers to enjoy the best service with DIGI. CENTUM will offer the service in all the countries where DIGI currently operates in: Spain, Italy and Romania.
According to Spain´s Technical Director at DIGI, Ismael Serrano: “This platform allows customers to configure their cell phones quick and easily to enjoy its mobile data service with DIGI and enabling the best call and browse experience”.
Moisés Rodríguez, Director of CENTUM’s Telecommunications and Cybersecurity business unit expressed his satisfaction with the agreement: “We are very happy that a company like DIGI, currently in full growth and focused on customer satisfaction, has trusted us to offer them a quality service through our automatic APN configuration tool”. With this new alliance CENTUM takes a firm step in its internationalization strategy and consolidates its position as one of the main providers of OTA (Over The Air) solutions.
